What are you longing to experience in your life? And where are you struggling? These two questions are often intertwined. They are the starting point for our work together. Private yoga lessons are designed based on your needs and goals, whether that means transforming stress and/or anxiety into more calm and joy, addressing physical or emotional pain, or working toward a pose or life goal. 

Before we meet, we’ll discuss your goals for practice and any health or lifestyle issues that limit your movement or affect your energy and overall sense of well-being. I’ll develop your practice based on this initial consultation. Practices may include a mix of asana (physical poses), pranayama (breath work), chanting, aromatherapy,  yoga philosophy and Reiki energy work.

Refining your practice, including finding new movement patterns for poses and parts of the body that challenge you

Nidra and Meditation

Yoga Nidra is one of my favorite guided meditation practices. Not only is it deeply relaxing and transformative, it also can be adapted to meet you where you are in your meditation practice. Often practiced lying down, nidra, also known as “conscious sleep,” guides you into a deeply restful state where your body sleeps but the deeper, conscious layers of your mind are awake. From this deep meditative place, you can experience powerful shifts, releasing stress and anxiety, tapping into creativity and intuition. 

In addition to Nidra, I teach different methods of meditation and breathwork from the yoga tradition. Based on your goals, I’ll introduce a meditation practice to you that we will practice together. You can record this practice to do on your own in between our meetings. 

I offer 30 minute and 1 hour meditation sessions.

Reiki Energy Work

Reiki (pronounced Ray-kee) is a method of energy work done through placing palms over different energy points of the body for healing. Reiki means universal life energy, in yoga we call this energy Prana. It is the force of life that flows through our body. Reiki energy work brings this life force back into balance to enable healing in body, mind and heart. Reiki has been studied and used in hospitals, pain management clinics, hospice care facilities and in massage work worldwide. It can help with:

recovery from injuries

reducing pain


relieving allergy and headaches

balancing energy


intuition and inner connection
